We are one of the largest independent practices in York and North Yorkshire, working with clients across the United Kingdom.
The practice was founded on 1 April 2006, when a merger brought together two accountancy firms with long and distinguished histories: Creers, which was established in York in 1908 and JW Pickles & Co, which was founded in Leeds in 1922.
We are proud of our past but we look to the future. We are a modern, forward-thinking practice of 8 partners and more than 70 staff in specialist teams, offering cutting edge, proactive services and advice to our clients.
We are committed to giving our clients the best possible service, which means we give our staff the very best training throughout their careers. We have an excellent record in retaining our staff, which helps us to build the ongoing relationships with our clients that are so important to us.
As chartered accountants and registered auditors, we must meet the regulatory and ethical requirements of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and we are subject to regular review by the Quality Assurance Directorate.
We are also a founder member of the UK200Group of independent accountants and lawyers, which means we must meet the challenging standards of an independent review each year to remain a member.
Through our membership, we are also able to provide training to keep our partners and staff up to date with constantly changing legislation and technical issues and can draw on extra resources when we need specialist advice for our clients.
